Sukuk investment is an investment in Islamic bonds based on Islamic principles where no interest is earned including the investment being ethical and socially responsible. Investments are based on an investment in the underlying asset which returns an income. There are a variety of structures and new innovative ones compliant with Sharniah are now coming into the market.

 

Sukuk is an investment certificate or legal document evidencing amount of ownership in the investment (the underlying asset) which can be sold to a willing buyer.
